I’ve fallen in love with Cape Town and the Capetonian people.
Over the past few days, we’ve travelled to Hout Bay to visit Seal Island; watched the sunset from Signal Hill; visited Nelson Mandela’s prison cell on Robben Island and sipped cocktails on Camps Bay overlooking Lions Head.
For anyone visiting the Mother City, I’d highly recommend going to all of the above, as well as witnessing the views from Table Mountain and the V&A Waterfront.
Yesterday, we relocated to a new Airbnb closer to the Waterfront and Green Point, where we’ll be staying until Sunday. We’ve then booked one extra nights accommodation, as we leave the capital in order to travel along the Garden Route via the Baz Bus on Monday.
Yesterday was also Valentines Day so we decided to push the boat out and eat at Cape Town’s Hard Rock Cafe in Camps Bay – a personal favourite of ours.

Over the next couple of days, we intend on visiting Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope, which is the most south-western point of the African continent, as well as visiting Boulders Beach, where hundreds of penguins line the sandy shores.
